The Daily Fiction stationery universe by Normann Copenhagen consists of exquisite smaller design goods ready to tempt and fascinate all design lovers. Scandinavian design simplicity combined with eye-catching and exclusive looking details in gold, modern terrazzo prints, metallic and graphic color-blocking stripes create an edgy universe.
Mie Albæk Nielsen and Caroline Hansen, the founders of Femmes Régionales are the designers behind the Daily Fiction stationery. Their office is located in an old building close to historical spots, many cocktail bars and fashion stores in Copenhagen. Both Mie and Caroline are educated fashion designers from Design School Kolding in Denmark. For the past 10 years, they have been running their own creative agency offering bespoke design solutions for lifestyle clients that dare to take things in a new direction.
It has been a dream project for us. We get everything we love into play. The brief from Normann Copenhagen required making a total concept for a new category of smaller design products where every little detail from packaging, typography to the shopping experience, were thoroughly considered. And it should have a fashion twist. It was important that all elements could mix and match to fit the individual styles of the consumers.
We developed a color range of 18 colors in matt, glossy and metallic versions with a playful and high-end expression. This offers an eclectic and sporty look with rich colors and bling-bling details. We designed four terrazzo prints for the collection that draw on the best from both fashion and interior trends. The look is both graphic and casual, adding a dynamic element to Daily Fiction. Finally, with a clear reference to fashion, four striped prints in beautiful color combinations are added.
