The city maps by Herb Lester Associates are a welcome change to conventional city guides. Each map has a different design accompanied by illustrations of various artists. The aim of Herb Lester is not to tell the readers everything there is to know about a city, but to tell them how to really enjoy it. They achieve this by researching each city the old-fashioned way: asking friends, acquaintances, cab drivers and concierges for their tips and then walking, tasting, sipping, and peering into doorways and down alleys.
All maps are printed in England on 100% recycled paper. You can buy them on the website of Herb Lester or at Papersmiths. I think I might purchase the Rome and Paris maps, because I’d really like to visit these beautiful cities again soon. What about you, is your favorite destination among the maps?
These are so beautiful and definitely refreshing! Thank you for sharing!
Hey Brittany! Yes, they are, definitely something else!
They have these at a local craft/paper supply store and I drool all over the maps every time I go. I always want to buy them!! need top plan a trip so I have a reason to :p
Yes, do it! Unfortunately I couldn’t find them anywhere here, but perhaps it’s better like this 😉
I adore all of these 🙂 I’m so bummed that I was just in Seattle and didn’t bring one along… though I will probably still end snagging one because I love it so much!

Oh yes, they are probably a good buy even without visiting the cities! Hope you enjoyed your last trip!
These are gorgeous! What a good find 😀
Right? Now I only need to plan my next trip 😉
These maps are absolutely brilliant – both for the trip itself as well as decoration in a frame for your room afterwards!
I must look into this immediately! Thanks for sharing the links on where to buy them, Sarah!
