The Designer – Xavier Lanau
Xavier Lanau is a Spanish graphic designer, living and working in beautiful Barcelona. After working at Folch Studio between 2011 and 2012, he started a new chapter as a freelance designer to be able to work closer with his own clients.
The Typeface – Apparata
Apparata started as a project for his Master’s degree in Typography in 2008. The first approach was to create a custom typeface for the design studio Apparatu. The typeface has been used for the logo and many communication pieces.
Currently Apparata includes 4 styles: Light, Light Italic, Bold and Bold Italic. Each style consists of more than 700 glyphs, smallcaps, tabular and old style figures, fractions, ligatures, punctuation and symbols. Apparata is a versatile typeface with a rounded finish, fresh and playful details. You can purchase the typeface on his website.
