Contemporary artist Elise Albino established Barclay Haro Art Concepts to carry out her creative interests. Blending her academic background and experience in art and fashion, she is inspired to offer stylish and innovative collections. Elise’s studio Barclay Haro is based in Vancouver, offering limited edition giclée prints, original art, custom works and creative collaborations. Objects and accessories are also planned for the evolving mix of art concepts. Each piece is made with luxe materials, emphasizing texture and dimension, and finished with meticulous hand application. The resulting work is fresh and minimal with a cool sophistication that transitions across varied interiors.
My inclination toward a clean, contemporary aesthetic was formed while completing my art history degree, as I was strongly influenced by modernism, minimalism and post-modernism movements. For me, it’s about paring away all unnecessary elements to reveal a purity in design with fresh, strong and balanced compositions.
The influence of architectural shapes and materials also brings an urban edge to my abstract designs; and it has to be said that my former work in fashion continues to be an important inspiration, not only from a business and design perspective, but also in introducing a capsule collection of work. – Elise Albino
